I love teaching piano and am a Board-Certified Music Therapist with a Master’s degree in Music Therapy. My passion for music began at home, with a father who was a music teacher and a mother who deeply loved music — it was always a way to connect and bring people together.
I started piano at fifteen and quickly discovered that music was more than a skill — it was a way to communicate and connect. While studying at York University, I explored improvisation and jazz, and began teaching and performing in a Toronto band, touring across Canada and seeing firsthand how music unites people.
Volunteering in hospice care and later working as a music therapist at Grey Nuns Community Hospital taught me the emotional power of music — how it can comfort, ease, and connect people when words are not enough. These experiences shape my teaching today, helping me create lessons that are engaging, personalized, and meaningful, guiding each student to connect with music joyfully and confidently.
